I was hoping to exercise some skills by documenting and posting my learnings of the VR-09, and as so often when happens, curiosity triggers additional questions and tasks. My original task list was along the lines of:
- Learn about registrations
- Identify standard tones to use for current set list
- Create custom registrations set list
- Find additional pre-made registrations
- Install and learn external editor
But then I went ahead and made a minor update to the site, making a bit more blog-like, and now i have several more items on my task list, nothing to do with music!
- Fix CSS on buttons
- Redesign home page to include blog entries as well section lead-ins
- Figure out why it’s so slow
But in the meantime I should at least document items that have been completed. I am still so pleased that there is an active community, as I was able to find official Youtube videos on some of the key topics, and so I was able to complete the task-list for my keyboard training above.
Tonight is a big test as I take it to band practice for the first time. From there I will raise the expectations on that list so that I feel better equipped for our songs (~40 as of my last count), and I will get some time to explore the user-created registrations I downloaded from the community last night.
